Evolution of Language Engineering: From MDSD to SAMDD

Context: Design and development of a model-driven development platform for the automated generation of complex web applications.
Role: Software Architect & Project Lead.
Challenge & Solution: Originally built on the Eclipse ecosystem, I have conceptually advanced the system into the future. The current focus is on the transformation towards "Spec-Augmented Model Driven Development (SAMDD)" using modern DSL frameworks such as Langium. This combines the rigour of classical model specifications with the dynamic potential of agent-based development processes to generate architectures with greater precision and maintainability.

Role: Senior Developer & Software Architect.
Challenge & Solution: Scaling and modernising the infrastructure by introducing an event-driven architecture. Migration to a monorepo with a cross-technology service spectrum. Orchestration of microservices via Kubernetes (K8s) and asynchronous process handling through RabbitMQ and Mercure.

Challenge & Solution: Deep understanding of complex B2B business processes, digital mapping of complete value chains, and long-term reliability through continuous support of the client from the replacement of the legacy system to this day.

Challenge & Solution: As co-founder of the underlying GmbH, I bring genuine product and business ownership to this project. It demonstrates that I not only build systems from the ground up technically – from solid data modelling to the integration of payment interfaces – but also maintain them sustainably over the long term.

Challenge & Solution: Implementation of a tailored Shopware 6 shop with tiered discounts, vouchers, PayPal integration, order history, and offer packages. Parallel operation of the shop under multiple domains for different brands of the cooperative.
